Update your bathroom on a budget
Tiles looking tired? Suite seen better days? Believe it or not, you can update your bathroom without breaking the bank, and we’ve popped some of our favourite ideas below!
Tile tales
Tiles and the subsequent tiling that will follow can get extremely expensive. Why not look at using less tiles and only focusing on key areas, such as the floor? However, if you’ve fallen in love with a design that is more on the expensive side, why not use it alongside a cheaper tile? Pair with a complementary colour or print to make your statement tiles really stand out.
Fresh lick of paint

Tarkett Starfloor Blue Pine luxury vinyl
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, repainting a room is the one of the cheapest, and most effective ways to give your bathroom a new look. Just bear in mind that painting your bathroom will take longer than you might think! You’ll have to paint the walls, the ceiling, around any windows, around the bath or shower, the sink, the mirror, the toilet… you get the gist!
TOP TIP: Make sure you use paint that has been especially designed and formulated for use in a bathroom.
Flawless flooring

Mardi Gras Sagres Black and White vinyl flooring
Take a good look at your bathroom — if you’re lucky enough to have a fairly modern suite and tiles or paintwork, then it may just be a simple case of updating your flooring. Whether you opt for a vinyl, like the one pictured, a luxury vinyl tile or a laminate made especially for bathrooms, there’s so many options out there! We love an eye-catching and cool pattern, such as our award-winning Mardi Gras vinyl.
Accessorise this

Flair Bolivia vinyl flooring
Sometimes all a bathroom needs is some new on-trend accessories. From stylish new towels to toothbrush holders or even a statement vase, adding a splash of colour to a neutral bathroom can make a world of difference. Adding a new mirror will also create a fantastic focal point.
Fix up, look sharp

Light fittings and fixtures, sink faucets, towel rails and taps can all be updated for a relatively small sum. These items may seem like they wouldn’t make that much of a difference but replacing them can really make a big difference to your bathroom.
Storage solutions
Having a lot of clutter in your bathroom can make the space feel cramped and a lot smaller than it actually is. The best thing to do first is to have a good clear out and throw out any empty bottles, products you haven’t used in a while and anything that has a passed expiry date on it. Investing in a sleek storage cabinet or vanity unit is also a great way of hiding away all those bottles and jars!
