Ways with purple
Incorporate Pantone’s colour of the year into your home!
Pantone is widely regarded as the authority on colour, so when they announced that Ultraviolet would be the colour of the 2018, we all sat up and took notice. A very strong tone that could easily dominate, we’ve found other ways to incorporate this on-trend hue into your home without being too overwhelming!
Purple reign

A purple carpet is classic, timeless and adds a little regal touch to any home. Luxurious and rich, a beautifully soft purple carpet will suit most homes and looks great with pretty much any décor style or furniture — it’s almost magical!
Pull up a chair
Update your kitchen or dining room instantly simply by buying new chairs. A fairly inexpensive way of introducing some colour into your home, we love the vibrancy of the purple against the monochrome floor and neutral colour palette shown here. You may even be able to re-spray or paint over your existing chairs to save some pennies.
Sleep in style
If the idea of replacing flooring or painting walls is too much of a commitment for you, then why not swap your usual bedding for something a little more intergalactic-looking? A pretty purple hue will really stand out in an otherwise neutral room, but we think purple also looks great with greys, yellows and navy. Really, you can’t go wrong!
Your table’s ready
Agate is a huge trend in interiors right now and adds a magical touch to any room. The layered look of these stones go perfectly with decadent velvets and dark, inky blues and look particularly mesmerising in a rich purple. Styled with plants, or left to do the talking for itself, this gorgeous side table is a quick and easy way to incorporate a nod of the ultraviolet trend into your home.
