Clacton on Sea Dents Easily : Looks
- This was laid in a Dining Room that had just been completely renovated including the removal of a chimney breast.
It is probably good for Walk-Through areas but no good at all where furniture will be standing on it.
When purchasing this, as it was to be used in a dining room, I asked the questions;
Q: Is it Ok for a Dining Room?
A: Yes, but it will need to be glued down all over.
Q: Will it dent like Cushion Floor vinyl.
A: No, this is far better quality than that.
Q: My computer chair is on castors, will it be Ok.
A: It should be Ok but you may want to get a protector for that area to make sure.
I purchased a protector for the computer chair as suggested and it is perfectly Ok.
After installation, the table and chairs were moved in and it looked good.
When I cleaned the floor following our first meal in the room, I noticed that our dining chairs had left dents in the vinyl about 4 mm deep.
As the legs were too narrow to put pads on we bought a new set of dining chairs that had a far wider leg base which we fixed large felt pads to.
This cured the denting problem from the legs.
The original dents have now gone after various methods of manual manipulation.
After spending an additional £280 for chairs, the floor covering turned out to be an expensive part of the project.
Although this is very light in colour, it is surprisingly easy to keep clean.
