Taking stock of where we are in our lives and the things we’d like to improve upon has become a staple of the New Year period. As we celebrate the start of a fresh year, many people set themselves new or recurring goals to achieve; ranging from the easily achievable to the slightly more unrealistic. Mostly the resolutions people set tend to focus on improving themselves and the results of our recent survey shows home improvement goals tend to be overlooked, with only 27.2% of people regularly setting themselves a resolution focused on home improvement. A poll carried out by Houzz, revealed that people most commonly redecorate every 5 years. Here at Carpetright, we want to inspire you to make 2017 the year of home improvement.
Improve your home in 2017
Our survey showed that only 3.9% of people have achieved their dream vision for their home, leaving plenty of room for improvement in 2017. Whether you plan to lay new carpets, re-wallpaper the living room or fit a new bathroom suite, put an end to DIY avoidance and pick up the tools this year. After all, you may have limited success in eating healthily or drinking less, but any DIY project, big or small, is sure to add value to your home, as well as give you a sense of accomplishment each time you admire your new surroundings.
