Valentine’s Day is the one day every year when couples get to really show their love for one another.
Showing your love to your partner every day of the year might be highly desirable but probably not always possible. Valentine’s Day however provides that extra special opportunity to go all out and really spoil your loved one – and a great way to get that romantic ball rolling could be to redecorate your bedroom ready for the occasion.
Transform your bedroom into a romantic paradise with our top tips! Set the mood and spend February 14th showing with your loved one just how much they mean to you.
ROMANCE IN RED

Red and pink are the colours of love and they also happen to be warming colours so make sure you use them in your bedroom design.
There are a number of ways to add warm romantic colours into the room. Invest in a deep red duvet set for the bed and add a nice red rug or even a glamorous red carpet for the flooring to create a simple style that works well.
THE BIGGER THE BED THE BETTER

Are your romantic evenings spoilt by arguments over who has more room in bed or who has stolen the duvet? Sounds like you need a bigger bed!
Invest in a super-king bed and put the romance back into your bedroom. There’ll be plenty of room for everyone and the duvets will be equally bigger to prevent any fights for the covers.
Another good trick is to buy a duvet in a size bigger than your bed (so a superking size duvet for a normal kingsize bed). This means there is more duvet overhanging at the side and therefore more to be shared between you and your partner.

One of the most important things to focus on is getting the lighting just right. To create a romantic atmosphere, you’ll need to create mood lighting. This means opting for something which can be dimmed to offer softer illumination rather than harsh, white light.
So, try using small lamps or romantic candles. To create the best effect, arrange the candles in small groups in the corners of the room or use dimmer switches to control the main lighting. Placing cute tea lights in candle holders can add that fabulous final touch.
We hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day!
