Red Carpet highlights for June
This month I was lucky enough to be invited by the Cointreau creative team to the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards 2015. This red carpet event was, (as you can imagine), fabulously star-studded with some wonderful stars in attendance.
For me the best dressed stars on the night was my dear friend Lilah Parsons – she looked stunning in a plunging red suit. The simple lines and the tailoring elongated her body even more than it is and she looked sleek, sexy and sophisticated.
Scarlet was the colour
The scarlet theme was very popular at the awards with the whole of Little Mix in a red sea of style, and Fearne Cotton also opting for a red smock dress to hide her growing baby bump. Other stars who shone on the night were the lovely Kerry Washington, who looked so on point in a stunning black dress with a risqué slash and an embellished bottom.
I think that my favourite dressed duo of the night were mother-and-daughter-team Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson. Kate won the top accolade award of the evening and she wore a daring dress from J Mendel – again a fabulous red number, which showed off a lot of flesh but she looked so relaxed that she could easily pull it off – it was easily my wardrobe hit of the evening. Goldie also looked stunning. At age 69 she was the oldest person at the party, but that didn’t stop her from dancing up a storm in her stunning geometric dress and showing off her sublime legs!
Menswear in the spotlight
This month, I also attended London Collections Men, which is essentially the male equivalent of London Fashion Week. The highlight of the event for me was the closing of Jermyn Street for an early morning fashion show showing off all the latest menswear available in London’ top London tailors.
I loved the smart tailoring and the fact that the catwalk was not the traditional red carpet, but had a dash of neon, which looked so cool!
See you next month, Nick x
