Getting new flooring installed in your home is exciting. Whether you have chosen carpet, laminate of vinyl flooring, you know it’ll make so much difference to the look of the space and give the room the finish you want. But it can also be quite stressful. Getting the room prepared can take a lot of work; there is much to sort out and when you need to clear a room you suddenly realise just how much stuff you have accumulated.
At Carpetright we always endeavour to make things as easy as possible for our customers and we are constantly striving to improve and add to the services we offer to do just that.
If you have decided to use a fitter approved by Carpetright, you can be assured that they will do a fabulous job but there are a few things they will need you to do before they arrive:
- Remove any breakable or precious items
- Empty the room of furniture if you let us know beforehand, our fitters will move up to 5 items although no electrical or plumbed-in appliances, fixed, fitted or full furniture
- Uplift your old floor
- Arrange for any doors to be trimmed if they need it – arrange this with your local store
Of course, we don’t expect you to do everything and there are some services we offer as standard when you book a Carpetright-approved fitter:
However, that’s not all we can do. If you already have a lot on or would like to kick back and put your feet up while your floor is prepared and your flooring fitted, just let a store colleague know.
For a small fee you can upgrade this service and we can take the strain for you:
Our uplift and disposal service is very popular and it’s easy to see why – the cost is minimal but the time and hassle it saves you, the customer, is priceless. No messy, dusty work and trips to the tip with your old floor. Plus of course a professional will always be able to do the job more quickly and efficiently than someone without the know-how or the relevant tools.
So, if your life is already crazy busy and you could do without another job to do, using this service really is a no brainer.
