The final polish
At Carpetright we pride ourselves on giving you the right advice and recommendations for the essential products you need to ensure your new flooring stays looking beautiful. The essential products needed to install a laminate floor:
- 4x5m (20m2) 200 micron sheeting
- Essential when laying laminate onto a sub concrete floor
- Lining is laid onto the floor, covered with underlay then Laminate
- Acts as a moisture barrier for laminate flooring
- Lining should cover the entire floor with a minimum 20cm overlap
Required to install laminate boards, includes tough hammering block, pull bar and 20 spacers.
- 15mm radius beading to cover the expansion gap between the floor and skirting board.
- Each beading is 2.4m in length (8ft). Average 5-6 lengths required for an average room size.
- Hardwearing HDF door bars with a laminate surface
- 90cm Ramp profile (Double) - for use between Laminate and Carpet/ Vinyl
- 90cm Threshold profile (Single) - for use between Laminate and Laminate
- Supplied with channel and fixing screws
- Suitable for laminates between 7mm - 9mm in height
- When a floor is higher than 9mm, recommend raising the floor level with wood/ washers depending upon additional height required. When using wood this must be securely affixed to floor before attaching the plastic channel
