This nice little combination is achieved by tufting some loops higher than others so that when the higher tufts are cut and the lower ones are left, a pattern is created from the different heights. We have put together our caring for your Cut and Loop carpet guide to help you care and maintain your Cut and Loop pile carpet.

Our promotions change frequently but at any time we give customers a guarantee that they will not find the same perfect carpet on sale at another retailer for a lower price, and this guarantee lasts for 28 days. We cannot extend this promise to include any further discounts applied in our own stores during the same period, just as we would not expect customers to pay extra on outstanding orders when we have to increase a carpet's price. We would point out that even our stores do not know about forthcoming promotions until shortly before they come into effect

No. When we book fittings with the independent fitters who carry out the work, we do so on the understanding that the rooms will be clear and the fitters will be able to start work as soon as they arrive. This enables us to schedule more fittings in a day and therefore to serve more customers. It also enables us to offer competitive quotations on behalf of the fitters based simply on the amount of flooring to be laid. When a fitter finds a room has not been cleared, this can cause considerable delays and can result in problems for other customers. Whilst this system is in place to ensure all our carpets reach our stores in good condition, on occasion the weight of the wrapped carpet can cause a temporary crease at the overlap point.
It is not uncommon for textiles to become creased due to packaging or transport. Carpets can have a crease or ‘pole mark’ upon delivery but this will not last, will not affect your carpet and will disappear eventually. Walking on and/or vacuuming the crease will help it disappear more quickly.

The bedroom flooring prices across our products are displayed in square metres, this is to help you compare Carpetright prices across different widths of carpet. Although our range of laminate flooring is priced in square metres, we sell all of our laminate flooring by the box and the amount of flooring per box varies between ranges.
When you buy a new carpet it is important that you also choose the right underlay. Like our carpet pricing, our underlay pricing is also displayed in square metres and is available by the roll depending on what product is right for you.
At Carpetright.co.uk you will see our ‘List Price’. This is our standard price of the product. We may occasionally show our carpet pricing at a discounted price, this will be displayed below our List Price. Carpetright discount codes must be added in the shopping trolley and the value of the discount will be taken off before you proceed to the checkout.

The pile yarn of your carpet is made from short lengths of fibre spun together to create a rope-like yarn. When cut, some of the fibre ends will be too short to be held in the yarn leading these to come loose and be picked up during vacuuming. Although the volume of loose fibres may seem alarming, these are only a small fraction of the total fibre weight.
To prevent unnecessary molting, we recommend the use of an upright vacuum cleaner with beater bars as this will agitate the pile and allow the loose fibres to be removed quickly and easily.

Fitting carpet on stairs involves considerably more work than flat areas as the carpet usually has to be cut at the store before delivery and the time it takes to fit in relation to the area is very high. These factors mean an additional charge is necessary.
Our carpet fitters are independent contractors and we have an agreement that Carpetright collect the stair and delivery charges at the time your order is placed leaving the fitter to collect the balance for fitting once the job has been satisfactorily completed. This ensures that you, the customer, can feel confident that the work will be done to a high standard.

We take great care to ensure that our range of flooring is fully up-to-date and that there is stock of all our products either at our central warehouse or at our manufacturers. However, on occasion, our products are discontinued either by the manufacturer or by us due to stock availability issues. As a result, some orders have to be reselected as we cannot obtain the required stock.
We are more than happy to help you choose an alternative product of the same value from our wide range of flooring. Footprints or compression marks often show where the pile has been disturbed. The reason why your carpet shows these marks is due to the extra-long luxurious pile and because the pile will appear to be a much lighter colour than when it is viewed ‘end on’.
The pile disturbance will give corresponding light and dark patches depending on the angle of the pile in relation to where you are standing. This is an inherent feature of this type of carpet and is not a defect or fault.

Once you have placed your order online, the order will be sent to your local store. The goods are then cut in our main warehouse and dispatched to your local store within 7-10 working days. The fitter will bring all goods with him to either deliver or fit.

Flattening occurs in areas which receive the heaviest use. Carpets will always flatten after use and is not a defect. This is perfectly normal and we are pleased to say that your carpet is not faulty.

Once an appointment is made, we will make every effort to ensure your fitter keeps to their schedule and arrives on time. However, on occasion, this may not be possible if a fitter has a number of jobs to complete in a day and the length of time to complete an earlier job is longer than expected.
All appointments are made in good faith and we regret any delays that may occur. In the unfortunate event that a fitter is unable to complete your fitting on the agreed day, we will let you know at the earliest opportunity and arrange an alternative appointment

Unfortunately we do not offer a room clearance service.
When we book a fitting appointment with our independent fitters on behalf of our customers, we do so on the understanding that the room will be clear and the fitter will be able to start work as soon as they arrive. This stance allows us to offer competitive quotations on fitting as the job is based solely on the amount of flooring to be laid.
If a fitter finds a room has not been cleared, this can cause considerable delay and, due to their schedule, can result in problems for other Carpetright customers. A fitter will not clear a room as they are not insured for the moving of furniture.
