Caring for your Wilton carpet
Think about where your Wilton is going
Ongoing care
Cleaning
If you’ve chosen a Wilton, you’ve plumped for a woven carpet which has either been produced as a looped pile carpet or a cut loop carpet. This construction method has created carpets that are known for their strength and durability. This makes it a popular choice for residential properties.
Think about where your Wilton is going
As it’s generally a hardwearing carpet, a Wilton is quite easy to care for. One thing to watch out for though is the colours can be affected by direct sunlight – so if your Wilton is going into a room with nice big windows it’s worth considering putting up blinds or nets to reduce the effect of fading.
Ongoing care
Like most carpets, regular vacuuming will take good care of your Wilton. However, we do recommend that you place your vacuum on the lowest suction setting possible whilst still obviously producing effective performance.
Cleaning
Please see our Care and Maintenance section for our cleaning recommendations but there’s a couple of points to note regarding your Wilton. If it’s a loop pile Wilton, it’s best to vacuum it with a cylinder cleaner using the suction head only, whilst if it’s of the cut pile variety, try to use an upright cleaner with a beater bar and brush.
