Maybe you’ve been into one of our 500 stores in the UK and Europe to browse our vast range of quality carpets, laminates and vinyls, and maybe you've received friendly help and advice from our staff.  Well now you can make the most of Carpetright’s great quality, choice, value and wealth of knowledge online!

Our knowledge comes from over 21 successful years of providing superb flooring solutions to homes, businesses, schools and organisations. And of course, you can’t do something that well for that long without passion. We love providing customers with the right flooring solution at the right price, but we’re also here to help with advice on the latest trends, styles, designs and creating the right ambience.

Since the opening of our first store in Canning Town in 1988, the demand for Carpetright’s quality, choice and value has grown so much that you’re highly likely to have a store just a few miles away – full of friendly staff who are more than happy to help, whatever you’re looking for.

What our customers want

In our ongoing efforts to give our customers an even better service we launched our ‘Carpetright at Home’ initiative in 2000, which used our local teams and their vans to visit and advise people in their own homes. This made an enormous improvement which helped customers to make the right choices, as they could now see what their chosen samples looked like in their own familiar surroundings and most importantly, at their own convenience.

And true to our value of providing quality and choice, the year 2002 saw us open our 63,000 sq ft warehouse in Essex which enabled us to stock the largest selection of 5m width carpets in the UK. Thereby extending our product range and giving our customers a much broader range of size options.

A perfect fit

2003 saw Carpetright launch its very first ‘Fitters Academy’ programme in collaboration with the Flooring Industry Training Association (FITA). This was to ensure that all our fitters met the highest standards possible when laying new flooring in our customers' homes.  As a result of this initative we continue to lead the industry in customer service.

Since 2004, these very same high levels of customer service have been enjoyed by Europe when the company expanded into Belgium and Holland and then into Poland in 2006. A further milestone was achieved in 2005 when our 500th store was opened.

The desire for great looking floors at a great price has not only seen us extend our quality offering to laminates, vinyls and laminate flooring, but has also seen us move into other markets such as the very demanding commercial sector. Similarly the launch of our 'In House' high-end flooring channel has led to many quality retailers, such as House of Fraser, into stocking our products in their prestigious outlets.

A lot has happened in 21 years and we are now firmly established as Europe’s leading floor coverings retailer. Throughout all this time however, we have never lost sight of our main mission: to help provide people with the best quality flooring solutions at the right price so they can achieve the exact look they’re after, whatever the room.
